Minister Nguyễn Quân awarded the Medal to the Ambassador
Delivering a speech in the meeting, Minister Nguyễn Quân congratulated Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki on successfully completing his terms in Vietnam. The Minister expressed the comprehensive relations between Vietnam and Japan have been very good, in which S&T cooperation has achieved important progress. The Minister highly appreciated the contribution made by the Ambassador to the development and emphasized that with strategic partnership relations of the two countries, he would hope that S&T cooperation of the two countries are always favorable and that the Ambassador would always pay his attention and support to Vietnam’s S&T.
The Ambassador thanked the Minister for spending his time to meet and share that over the past time the two countries have coordinated closely in formulation of projects which are of symbolic cooperation between Japan and Vietnam such as the Project on building nuclear power plant Ninh Thuận 2, the Project on developing Hòa Lạc High Tech Park, the Project on developing rare soil,… According to the Ambassador, the S&T field has had significant potential in the future, he would hope for the coming time Japan and Vietnam would strengthen cooperation in this field to be more and more developed.
Also in the meeting, on behalf of MOST, Minister Nguyễn Quân awarded the Ambassador the Medal for S&T Cause, recognized the Ambassador’s contribution for Vietnam’s S&T development.
